2º course Science Project: We are going to the beach

On Tuesday, the 15th, we are going on a school trip to Huelva, with our family. We will visit Palos de la Frontera (La Rábida) and Matalascañas (the beach) 

As a Science project we are going to do a funny activity about the beach. Tomorrow, we will take a nice photograph in the beach and at home, we have to label it with all the vocabulary that we have learned in class. In the classroom we will write some sentences about our picture to finish the project.

Science project in 1º

To celebrate the International year of Forest 2011 we are doing a Science project about plants, what they need to live, how they grow, the name of their parts,... .
Para celebrar el Año Internacional de los bosques vamos a hacer un proyecto de ciencias sobre las plantas, qué necesitan para vivir, cómo crecen, ...

At home we have created our "Favourite Tree" with the help of our family. Look how creative they are!! Here is Sergio from 1ºA making the tree at home!
En casa hemos ceado nuestro Árbol Favorito con la ayuda de nuestra familia. ¡Mira que creativos son! Aquí tenemos a Sergio de 1º A haciendo su árbol en casa.


In class, we have planted some seed and we placed the plant by the window and we will take care of them until they grow.
En clase, hemos plantado algunas semillas y las hemos colocado en la ventana y las cuidaremos hasta que crezcan.


In the school hall we are filling our "Happy Tree" with different items that makes our tree happy and in our playground, we have an Orchard (Huerto) and we have planted green beans, cucumber and celery.
En la entrada del colegio estamos completando a nuestro "árbol felíz" con diversos elementos que lo hacen estar contento y en el patio trasero del recreo, tenemos un huerto en el que hemos plantado judías verdes, pepinos y puerros.

Thanks to María José that prepare the land, Nieves and Amada who brought the little plants, Manolo Galván taught us how to plant them and Domi and Mª Carmen (one of our training teacher) who organised the students and did the photos.
Every day we have to water our plants and very soon we will check how they grow.
Gracias a nuestras madres Maria José, que preparó la tierra, Nieves y Amada que trajeron las plantitas, Manolo que nos enseñó a plantarlas y a Domi y Mª Carmen que organizaron la actividad e hicieron las fotos. Todos los días iremos a regar nuestro pequeño sembrado para ir viendo cómo van creciendo.

INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF FOREST In Rodeo School

Spring is here, as you can see in the entrance of our school, in the hall , there is a big tree created by the AFC staff and we are going to start a Science project about the International Year of Forest.

In the 1st course we are going to study the plants and it is a good oportunity to introduce the respect of the Earth. In the following weeks you will find a big poster with differents drawings and decoration about enviroment and Nature care. We will create a Happy Tree.

La primavera ya está aquí, como pueden ver en la entrada de nuestro colegio, en el hall hay decoración de primavera y un bonito árbol creado por los monitores y alumnos/as de las AFC y nosotros vamos a iniciar un proyecto de Conocimiento del medio sobre el Año Internacional de los Bosques 2011.

En 1º vamos a estudiar las plantas y es una buena oportunidad para que los alumnos/as empiecen a tener valores de respeto a la naturaleza. En las próximas semanas encontrarán diversos posters con decorado, dibujos y consejos sobre el cuidado de los bosques y el medio ambiente. Crearemos un Happy Tree (El árbol felíz)
